September 2013 Newsletter

This month's bar luncheon and CLE presentation will take place at noon on September 25th in the Hotel St. Michael's ballroom. Judge William J. O'Neil, Arizona's Presiding Disciplinary Judge, will be presenting a one hour CLE on the topic of attorney disciplinary proceedings in Arizona. Judge O'Neil spoke to our members once before, and his presentation was well received. The menu choices are chicken fajitas or vegetarian fajitas. Please RSVP by no later than noon on September 19, 2013.

Also, as I mentioned in my last email, if you are interested in serving on the YCBA board next year, please let me or another board member know by the end of September. Ballots will be distributed next month, and election results will be announced at the Holiday Party later this year. Similarly, please let me or another board member know by the end of the month if you would like to nominate anyone for either of our two yearly awards (the Jack L. Ogg Award and the Harold J. Wolfinger Award). As most of you will recall, the Jack L. Ogg award recognizes service to our community, and the Harold J. Wolfinger Award recognizes exemplary ethics and professionalism.
